Before starting the actual search, it’s best to examine your financial options. There is nothing worse than finding a beautiful house and then realizing it’s out of your price range. Not to mention the fact that most sellers won’t look twice at a buyer without a pre-approval letter from an accredited lender.

Thankfully, we can help you get started, and we have several connections to qualified lenders that will assist you with determining how much money you can be pre-approved for a home loan. Pre-approval is an integral part of the home-buying process because it tells you how much you have to spend and details everything from mortgage payments to interest rates.

Come prepared when you meet with the financial professional. They will ask to see copies of things like a recent pay stub, proof of employment, documentation of your assets, credit report, and other financial documentation. 

While houses are beautiful to look at, you should always consider the location of your new home first. What kind of neighborhood do you want to live in? Is it important to you to live near good schools? Do you want a short work commute? What sort of attractions, entertainment, and amenities are you hoping for? 

There’s not much point in looking at houses in a neighborhood that’s too far from your place of employment or in a community you don’t like. When your offer is accepted, the closing period will begin. Closing is the best part of the process, and it’s also the most important.

You will hire an attorney at which point attorney review begins. One of the next steps will be to engage a home inspector who will evaluate the property and give you a detailed report to review with your attorney. At the same time, you will speak with your mortgage broker or bank to go over the financing of the transaction. Once all contingencies are satisfied the attorneys will set up the closing.  We will be there to assist you with every step of the deal.
